Kashi is set in a remote village in Bihar called Dholkipur. The village is strongly divided on caste lines & caste hierarchies are strictly maintained. The show revolves around a lower caste girl called Kaashi who aspires to go to school. Kaashi dreams of learning, of getting an education.
